Prince Court Medical Centre transformed part of its hospital into a runway for a fashion showcase that brought together healthcare, personal transformation and patient stories of recovery and resilience.
The unique experience was held in collaboration with the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM), cervical cancer support movement Teal Asia, and luxury fashion label Romyda_KL.

Serving as a preview of this year’s KL Fashion Week in August, the showcase featured patients and breast cancer survivors taking to the runway to share their personal journeys of healing and transformation.

The event was graced by Yang Berbahagia Datin Seri Azlin Hezri, Wife of the Honourable Minister of Health Malaysia and Patron of PUSPANITA. Also present were Prince Court’s Chief Executive Officer Tan Sok Kheng, NCSM president Dato’ Dr Saunthari Somasundaram, Reach to Recovery International president Leonie Young, and Teal Asia founder Selina Yeop Jr.
Prince Court CEO Tan Sok Kheng said: “While innovation and clinical excellence remain central to what we do, we also recognise that healing continues long after treatment ends. Recovery is about helping people regain confidence and reconnect with the things they love. This showcase is our way of supporting patients not only in their physical recovery, but also in their emotional wellbeing and overall quality of life.”

Among those featured on the runway was Susan Foong, a 14-year breast cancer survivor and volunteer with Pink Unity, a cancer support group under NCSM.
Also taking to the runway was Jeanette Lam, a Stage 2 breast cancer survivor in remission for 12 years. Now 62, she remains active in yoga, modelling, and volunteer work with NCSM.

“Walking the runway with so many people cheering you on is an incredible feeling,” said Jeanette. “Cancer is not the end of the world. Look at us now, moving forward and embracing what life still has to offer.”
Completing the showcase was Prince Court patient Suzaiti Azanan, who embarked on a weight loss journey. Marking her first runway appearance, she said the experience helped her step into a new sense of confidence.

“I was nervous for days leading up to it, but the moment I stepped onto the runway, my nerves disappeared,” said Suzaiti. “I arrived as a patient, but I’m leaving feeling like a model.”
Prince Court’s Oncology Centre is accredited by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) International, reflecting the hospital’s commitment to clinical excellence and internationally recognised standards of care. As the first hospital in Malaysia to introduce Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy, Prince Court continues to advance cancer treatment through medical innovation while championing holistic initiatives that support patients throughout their recovery journey.
